OUR COMPANY
Infrastructure Defense Technologies (IDT) is a developer, manufacturer, and marketer of physical security products designed to meet the threats of the 21st Century.
Our mission is to design, develop, prototype, test, market, and manufacture low-technology, rapidly deployable, cost effective products or systems designed to protect high value targets against terrorist attacks involving the use of KINETIC FORCE (such as speeding vehicles, explosive devices, ballistic weapons, etc.).
We accomplish these tasks where no current protective technology exists, and bring our products from concept to Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) status within one year.
Our clients are responsible for the protection of one or more high consequence assets which require protection against an authenticated threat.
IDT maintains its headquarters and manufacturing operations in Belvidere, Illinois and a Government Projects Office in Washington, DC.
IDT CAPABILITIES
At IDT, we specialize in providing our clients with simple solutions to complex problems related to vulnerabilities from terrorist threats. Our design team is dedicated to developing products engineered for
- blast mitigation,
- vehicle arrest,
- protective delay,
- perimeter security,
- access control, and
- ballistics protection.
In some cases, our design concepts are client-driven, while in other cases they are designed to fill a void in current physical security practice.
In all cases, IDT possesses the capability to manufacture the products we design.
TESTING
Every product designed by IDT is extensively, and independently, tested by government agencies or private sector experts for its ability to meet the expected threat requirements. We are experienced in blast mitigation testing, anti-ram vehicle testing, and finite element analysis to project expected results.
Our products are not only engineered to meet the extreme fringes of conventional terrorist threats, but are also designed to meet the extremes of surrounding environments. IDT products are designed for a product life of twenty years or greater.
